I have seen all the other comments about Attorney Drew and I am saddened by them. She was assigned to our case and did a wonderful job. She came regularly and communicated often. She had the child’s best interests in mind at all times. She was unfortunately removed from all her cases while ours was still going on. I was also supposed to take on another child under Attorney Drew’s case load and she set up and showed up for a meeting within two days (I did not even have the child as we decided not to take them). She communicated better than some of the caseworkers.
Heidi does not communicate. She shouldn’t be listed as a Maine state adoption lawyer. She has been very unresponsive to all emails and questions post adoption. After viewing her ratings on all reviewable platforms, it absolutely surprising to me that she is allowed to continue to practice law.
To begin she doesn’t actually do her job. Doesn’t answer phone calls. Doesn’t answer texts. Her office phone is a joke. Doesn’t answer emails. I have had to continue my divorce 2 times because she goes MIA and won’t submit her reports. She never called any witnesses. Legit sucks at her job. How she has 1 star ratings on multiple sites. Has been in trouble with the Board of Overseers of the Bar in 2019. How this women still is an attorney and a Guardian Ad Litem is beyond question. If you get appointed Heidi Drew I recommend running as fast as you possibly can, she won’t do anything for you or your family.
The absolute worst legal counsel you could possibly have. Non responsive and non productive. Couldn't be bothered to actually try defending you, and is never available for meetings. If you get her appointed to you, I strongly suggest you put in an order for a new Lawyer or pay for someone worth your time and money.
She is the guardian ad litem for my grandson. She is supposed to be his voice. He just turned a year old when he was stolen from our home She let him be in a foster home where he was bit by another child. Scratched by chickens. Wearing filthy clothes. Missing doctors appointments. He was being neglected and she didn't speak for him. Now he is in a good foster home "no thanks to her" she didn't even know he was moved. She doesn't know how to communicate with the workers, lawyers or family. I haven't seen my grandkids in months and I was a big part of my grandson's life. He misses me. This is not his best interest. There is no documentation saying that I can't see them. So I reached out to Heidi 2 weeks ago and she has neglected to get in touch with me. She is not for the kids. My grandson was allowed to be removed from a loving caring home to be placed where he was injured on a regular basis. His new car seat was switched with an Outdated one.
Isn’t doing her job. I should be able to bring my kids to my moms. My boy toy can break every rule without getting in trouble, but I can’t even see my mother. She’s always too busy for team meetings. No one can ever get ahold of her. She’s unreliable, and a waste of money. My youngest is 2 months old, & she hasn’t been by at all to meet her.
