This attorney retired, did nothis clients know in advance, or after, and has gone out of his way to make sure that we are not able to get contact information from any of the obvious sources such as the court systems, state’s attorney general or the Maryland Bar Association. Since he has our files, and the only copy of our wills, this is unacceptable. One of the people in grievance office had a personal email address, and although she was not able to give it to me, did offer to send him an email asking him to contact me. No response. This behavior on his part is not only unprofessional, but inappropriate. I think it’s time to complain formally and file a grievance.
He accepted my case and money but provided zero service/support. Would not respond to phone calls or even office visits, left numerous messages with his assistant over 6 months and he never returned contact. When I told his assistant that I was in contact with the Maryland Bar Assn he finally contacted me, stated he had not begun any paperwork or affidavit in my behalf, he did agree to transfer my payment to another lawyer of my choice. Terrible!!
