Stewart Gilchrist was born in Laurel, Miss. on June 12, 1925. He was admitted to the bar in 1950, Mississippi. He graduated from the University of California and University of Mississippi (LL.B, 1950). Mr. Gilchrist is a member of the Jones County Bar Association, American Bar Association, and Mississippi Bar Association.Mr. Gilchrist is married to Gene and they are members of St. John’s Episcopal Church. For many years Mr. Gilchrist and his wife have been active in numerous civic and charity organizations throughout our community. In addition, Mr. Gilchrist and his wife are wonderful contributors and volunteers to the famous Lauren Rogers Museum of Art, located here in Laurel.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.
