Gilchrist Sumrall Yoder Yoder & Leggett, PLLC is one of the oldest and most recognized law firms in Laurel, Jones County, Mississippi. Gilchrist Sumrall Yoder Yoder & Leggett, PLLC traces its roots back to the well known and respected Mississippi attorney Stone Deavours. Mr. Deavours first began practicing law in 1893 in Jasper County, Mississippi. Then in 1902 Stone Deavours moved to Laurel and began practicing law in Laurel, Jones County, Mississippi. Today, Gilchrist Sumrall Yoder Yoder & Leggett, PLLC is a full service law firm located in the heart of historic downtown Laurel.

Most of our attorneys were born and raised here in Laurel and Jones County, Mississippi. This fact provides our law firm with a unique perspective of our community as well as a specialized knowledge of this community as a whole. This unique perspective and specialized knowledge allows our attorneys to provide each of our clients with the necessary information and tools in resolving any issue they may face.
