I was working with Melissa , I hired her for my divorce . I thought she was easy to relate to and easy to talk to. This is important but as time went on I realized I was going to end up possibly homeless and with a very small alimony payment. If you are getting a divorce and you don't have a job , or haven't worked in a while ,I recommend getting an attorney that specializes in divorce ONLY . I didn't realize this in the beginning . I ended up getting some one who knows about mortgages , refinancing , and how to creatively work the numbers to your benefit. Melissa never questioned the discovery , she didn't realize I had no way to get my own mortgage or apartment with out a work history , (or she didn't care) she took a lot of phone calls during our meetings . She didn't answer my emails , but charged me a lot for emails , gave my husband extra time with out telling me , and she didn't return my documents.
