Hailing from the small town of Laredo, Texas, Paulina has always been driven by a passion for justice and a desire to help others. This journey led her to the William S. Boyd School of Law, where she attended on a full academic scholarship and graduated with pro bono honors.
During law school, Paulina showcased her talents in the ABA Client Counseling Competition, reaching the semi-finals and gaining invaluable experience in client interaction and problem-solving. Being a daughter of immigrants, Paulina was first interested in immigration law. With a heart as big as Texas, Paulina became a Professional Development Fellow for the Nevada Legal Aid Immigration Department, providing crucial support to those who might otherwise be unable to access legal assistance. This role not only honed her skills but also deepened her commitment to making a difference in the community. Paulina also acted as treasurer for the Immigrant Rights Coalition. Paulina’s hard work earned her a spot on the Dean’s list. Twice! Paulina also earned the prestigious CALI Award in Family Law, a testament to her dedication and expertise in the field.
Shortly after graduation, Paulina passed the Nevada Bar. With years of experience in family law, Paulina has developed a deep understanding of the complexities and nuances of this field. Her journey included clerking for two years for a family court judge, where she gained invaluable insights into the judicial process and honed her legal acumen.
Paulina’s exceptional writing skills have earned her the role of the firm’s writing attorney. She is passionate about crafting compelling narratives that effectively tell her clients’ stories, ensuring their voices are heard and their perspectives are understood. Her ability to articulate complex legal issues with clarity and precision is one of her greatest strengths, and she takes pride in using her writing to advocate for her clients.
When not immersed in drafting motions and briefs—or researching an unusual legal issue—, Paulina enjoys playing video games, reading, traveling, going to concerts, practicing yoga, and cuddling with her two dogs, Loki and Lucca.
