About Meredith L. Weiner

Meredith started her law career as a criminal defense lawyer. Criminal court is a battlefield. Defense attorneys must fight for their client’s, against a district attorney who has what seems to be “unlimited resources”. When they lose their clients go to jail. Defenses attorneys are a real-life David versus Goliath.

This is why criminal court is an excellent place to learn how to become a great trial lawyer. And, Meredith has become that; a great trial lawyer. She is the type of lawyer you want when the odds, and facts are stacked against you. Sling shot in hand, ready to slay the opposing side.

Along with criminal law, has experience with personal injury, and business law. Before finally settling into family law, and divorce law. Now, Meredith brings all her trial experience, and diverse legal knowledge to divorce court.

Although Meredith has been forged and hardened in criminal court, she hasn’t lost the ability and skill of customer service. Her clients are people, not things. Divorce clients need more than a lawyer who can tear up a court room. They need an adviser, and a coach. Someone who can explain what is going to happen next. One client remarked; “She walked me through the entire process. She was so patient and informative. I am happy that she did.”

Meredith was born and raised in Las Vegas. After completing her Bachelor of Science in Biology at American University in Washington, D.C., Meredith switched gears. She moved to San Diego to complete her law degree at the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2009. Meredith is admitted to practice law in the State of Nevada, and before the U.S. Federal District Court.

Hired Attorney

I came to Meredith Weiner because I am an independent contractor and I needed an LLC created. Meredith helped me through this process because I did not know how to do it on my own. I was referred to her by a friend who had Meredith draft some business contracts for his company. I was nervous because I waited until the last minute and needed it that day. I spoke with Meredith at 10 AM and she had my LLC created by 3 PM. I would recommend Meredith to anyone. She was professional and prompt.

Hired Attorney

I am very happy with how Meredith Weiner treated me and my case. I was very nervous before pursuing a lawyer because I did not know what my case entailed. I received regular updates on my case from her allowing me to know where my case was at. This was very helpful because other attorneys I have worked with did not do this. Overall, my case went very smoothly and I would recommend her to anyone I know. She made the process so much easier than I thought it was going to be.

Hired Attorney

I hired Meredith to do a simple joint custody case. She ended up filing the wrong paperwork, which ended up causing the judge to raise my child support and the case was dismissed. At no time did she speak up or fight for me during that hearing. We then tried to settle but really gave no effort in negotiating with the other party. It was an expensive mistake. I hired another lawyer which fixed everything. If you are considering Meredith, I recommend moving on.
