Althea Gevero is an associate attorney at WSHB’s Las Vegas office, licensed to practice in Nevada. She focuses her practice on complex civil litigation, consistently delivering effective legal strategies for firm clients.
Althea earned her law degree from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Upon graduation, she was recognized with a Dean’s Award for her impactful contributions and accomplishments within the law school community. During her time in law school, Althea served as President of OUTLaws, Vice President of In-House Competitions for the Society of Advocates, and a teaching assistant for legal research and writing classes. Althea is also a founding member of the National Filipino American Law Students Association.
While in law school, Althea became certified for limited practice through the Partners in Pro Bono Program with the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada. She had her first court appearance as a third-year law student, arguing on behalf of an indigent client in the same federal courthouse where Althea became a United States citizen. She also completed a summer externship with the Honorable Magistrate Judge Brenda Weksler in the United States District Court for the District of Nevada.
Althea received CALI Awards in Civil Procedure and Lawyering Process II, a recognition granted to the law student with the highest grade in the class. She was also a Quarterfinalist in Emory Law School’s Civil Rights and Liberties Moot Court Competition. Prior to law school, Althea served as a Volunteer Education Advocate for the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada, where she represented and advocated for children’s special education needs and rights. She is also an alumna of California State University, Long Beach, graduating magna cum laude.
