About Kim Boyer

Kim Boyer is Certified as an Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation. She practices in the areas of elder law, estate planning, guardianships and probates. Ms. Boyer received her A.B. degree in Mathematics, summa cum laude, from San Diego State University, and her law degree magna cum laude, from the University of San Diego School of Law. During law school, she was an editor of the law review and was elected to membership in the Order of the Coif.

Ms. Boyer is licensed to practice in Nevada, and is admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the District of Nevada and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. She is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the National Guardianship Association, and is an accredited attorney with the Veterans Administration. She is co-author of the book Alzheimer’s and Dementia: A Practical and Legal Guide for Nevada Caregivers, published by the University of Nevada Reno Press. Ms. Boyer publishes a monthly newsletter addressing issues facing seniors and their families, and is a frequent speaker on aging and elder law topics.

Kim Boyer and staff were very professional, helpful and organized. We needed something done quickly and they did it. Kim Boyer gave us creative ideas for what was a very unique situation, at least to us. The Paralegal, Luisa Heizer, was one of the best I have ever dealt with and was great at explaining details and always quick to return calls and to follow-up.

It is a first class, professional organization from the receptionist to the paralegal and the attorney. There are not enough words in the English language to adequately compliment Jo Smith. Jo's warmth, compassion and humor is especially appreciated during active grieving. She answered every question immediately; her competence was duly noted. It's apparent that there's pride throughout the Boyer Law Group. The concept "it takes a village' has been beautifully applied to the Boyer Law Group

We cannot make enough compliments about Ms. Boyer and her employees. They have always given us time when we had questions, walked us through the process and our options. We had contacted other attorneys and they were more expensive and we did not feel the same kind of empathy and compassion that we had with Ms. Boyer. Our family was well-taken care of and we highly recommend her.

I felt like they were in it for the money. This was a long distance relationship with my parent in their area. I was given their name by a social worker and they helped somewhat but really didn't help with all the issues. They did want to know how much money my parent had and then when they found out how much they had then they said well we normally charge this much but we will lower it to your amount barely leaving enough in the bank accounts. Would I use them again? No, I would look around.

Boyer Law Group is the worst law firm in the state of Nevada by far. Completely unprofessional, seemingly uneducated, and should not be practicing law. The owner routinely makes homophonic and racist remarks / jokes and promotes an environment of discrimination towards the LGBT and minority communities. Do not go here. They. Are. The. Worst. You'll have better luck hiring a garbage can to help you with your legal needs.
