Before founding Riggs Law Firm, he spent more than a decade serving as senior counsel to a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Trustee in Nevada, working behind the scenes where repayment plans are evaluated, negotiated, and confirmed. That experience gave him a practical understanding of how cases are handled day to day in Nevada’s bankruptcy courts. Dan helped develop the Nevada Plan Form that standardizes Chapter 13 plans statewide and contributed to the creation of the Nevada Mortgage Modification Program, which has allowed many homeowners to restructure mortgage obligations and avoid foreclosure through bankruptcy. He has also worked on bankruptcy appeals in federal court and has conducted thousands of 341 meetings of creditors, giving him firsthand insight into what clients should expect and how to walk in prepared. Dan earned his law degree from UNLV’s William S. Boyd School of Law and has been licensed since 2011. He is admitted in Nevada and Utah. Dan founded Riggs Law Firm on the belief that financial setbacks don’t define a person. The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.
