When Ms. Higbee is not working, she can be found boating, playing volleyball, traveling and spending time with her family.

Hired Attorney

Avece Higbee is our HOA attorney for the Meridian in Las Vegas. A state investigation determined that she gave her legal opinion to our BOD without a meeting. This is against our governing documents. Her legal opinion was used to remove a candidate's statement from the election. The BOD was found to have acted "beyond the scope of their authority." At a homeowner's meeting Avece Higbee gave a vague and incomplete account of this investigation that failed to include her legal opinion or the laws broken as the BOD failed in their fiduciary duties. Our HOA President the investigation determined had failed to disclose a business that was pilfering from the Association. Ms. Higbee never mentioned her legal opinion was used to remove information about our President from the election or that he had an under the radar business that was pilfering from the Association. I've asked her law firm to review the recording of the meeting and the state investigation. No reply yet.
