Do yourself a favor and stay away from this man. I wish he would put the same effort at defending his clients, as he does at defending himself from reviews. Mr. Ortiz is a liar, misogynist, elitist, and morally corrupted lawyer. Any lawyer who puts private information about a client online, more so misconstrued statements about a minor, shouldn’t be trusted. All meetings were unpleasant and unproductive. I begged my husband to fire him because he didn't want to interview school personnel and my son’s doctor. However, Mr. Ortiz was very good at convincing my husband not to. Ruben made allegations about my behavior, but the truth is that he didn’t like that I (disabled veteran) asked questions and was smart enough to notice that he didn't care about the case and was a lousy lawyer. Even a day before the jury selection, he didn't bother to prepare us for trial because he had already made a deal with the prosecutor. He only cares about personal injury cases he can profit from.
Do not attempt to apply for a job position at the Ruben Ortiz Law Firm. While I didn’t work at Mr. Ortiz’s law office, I did apply for a job there. Their handling of the app process was extremely unprofessional! The office manager was condescending, callous, and unresponsive. If you can’t keep your applicants informed on their applications, don’t be condescending and rude when the applicant calls to inquire about it. That conduct speaks volumes of the Ortiz Law Firm.
