Travis Kimmey has practiced law since 2015, focusing on Estate Planning, Estate Administration, and Medicaid Planning. He helps clients keep their affairs private by avoiding probate, advises on smart asset titling for protection and probate avoidance, and assists families pursuing Medicaid eligibility by drafting and reviewing tools such as Personal Service Contracts, Escrow Agreements, and Pooled Trust Joinder Agreements. Travis also supports clients with business needs, including forming entities and preparing operating agreements. Originally from Hendersonville, North Carolina, he earned a B.A. from the University of North Carolina, then worked with seniors on Medicare-related insurance planning before moving to Florida. His financial background includes securities and insurance work, followed by earning his J.D. from the University of Florida and completing UF’s Graduate Tax Program. He is active in the Florida Bar’s Elder Law Section, the Georgia Bar, and the Palm Beach County Bar Association. A personal experience involving an untimely death before estate updates drives his commitment to regular plan reviews. Travis lives in Jupiter and enjoys fishing, chess, cooking, market research, and college basketball.
