Two brothers, the named executors in my mother's will, hired James Clark (“JC”) to probate my mother's estate since he had previously performed legal services for her. This was a simple estate that JC ended up filing in orphans court more than two and a half years after her death. JC was delinquent in various ways but then paid himself a high percentage for his attorney fees. JC was non-communicative and inept. Three of the beneficiaries hired an attorney, paying out of their pocket, to assist them in communicating with JC and even then JC was slow to respond and answer their questions. JC even used estate funds to hire another attorney to assist him in orphans court. When the orphans court judge gave his adjudication, there was an error due to what JC submitted. One beneficiary had to resolve this with the judge as JC did not know what the error was. All in all, it was the blind (executors) leading the blind (JC & his staff).
My now deceased mother hired James Clark to handle her estate. My siblings and I were frsutrated form beginning to end (which took a very long time), due to no return phone calls, and ill-prepared staff at the office. he also got paid alot of money and left us hanging. Please do not make the same mistake- go elsewhere!
Overall, I had a very poor experience with this attorney. He will never take your calls or call you back. He does not respond to emails either.
