My wife sued her brother who resided in WV. He owned property in OH which we told to Mr. Broyles which meets Ohio RC 2307.382 A(8). On top of that he had a real estate biz in OH which he was registered as statutory agent. OH law requires a statutory agent to be a resident of OH. Her brother argued in court he was a WV resident and did not have to answer to OH courts. He also had over 50 minimum contacts which Mr. Broyles never listed in which he incurred receiving his OH brokers license. We lost on personal jurisdiction because Mr. Broyles was either paid off by the defendent or incompetent, take your pick.
