Hired Attorney

I filed for an uncontested divorce on March 26, 2008. Granted, my husband lives in another state. Granted, the marriage was performed in a county adjacent to that in which Usher's office is located. My complaint is that two and a half years is outrageous! Neither my husband nor I is disputing anything. My every-few-months calls to the office are returned only occasionally. I am always told that the court in the other county is backlogged and incompetent. I wish I had not paid up front!

Hired Attorney

Mr. Usher is pleasant. However, I do not understand why an UNCONTESTED divorce paid for in March and April of 2008 has yet to be finished. Mr. Usher's assistant Valerie has three times replied to my many calls over the years to tell me that the county in which we the marriage was performed has a very slow, disorganized court system. As a cancer survivor & single parent, I need this matter resolved. I feel they are not wholly forthcoming with me.
