Julie Luhrsen represents the injured and she also helps those facing divorce and other family law issues. Like Atticus Finch, the fictional hero of Harper Lee’s To Kill A Mockingbird, for Julie it’s about looking out for others, it’s about leveling the playing field. For the vast part of her career, Julie’s been looking out for personal injury victims and their families who’ve suffered injuries due to someone else’s carelessness or wrongdoing. She's also worked to help her clients transition to a new chapter in their lives and navigate through the challenges that can arise thereafter. She’d welcome the chance to stand in your shoes and evaluate your case – confidentially. Initial consultations are at no cost. Please contact her today if you or a loved one has been a victim of an automobile crash, motorcycle wreck, slip or trip and fall incident, homeowner negligence, or any other negligent injury or wrongful death. Reach out to her if you are facing divorce or other family law matters.
Beyond the inspirational Atticus Finch character, Julie’s real interest in the law took root in college. Following her cum laude graduation from Miami University Julie returned to her native Virginia and worked as a products liability litigation paralegal for a major defense firm. That experience confirmed her interest in the law and she went on to law school at the University of Richmond where she finished in the top 3% of her class and with cum laude honors. In a leap of faith and with no prior military background, she served on active duty as a U.S. Army Judge Advocate for eight years and gained invaluable experience—trying cases as a criminal prosecutor and later criminal defense counsel and jumping out of “perfectly good airplanes” as a paratrooper during her five year stint at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
After leaving the Army, she migrated to the Sarasota/Bradenton area and went into the private practice of law. It was during those days that she had the good fortune to first work Attorney Christina Goldberg, practicing injury law and Personal Injury Protection. There reunion and start of their firm years ago has become renowned for being female founded and lead but importantly for serving any and all who may need their help..
Julie is licensed to practice in all Florida courts, a member of the Sarasota County Bar Association and the Florida Justice Association. She's volunteered her time for several area not-profits. Outside of work, Julie enjoys reading, exercise, reading, gardening and playing pickleball. She's enjoys times with her grown kids and with other friends and family.
