He has successfully litigated at all levels of state and federal courts in Louisiana, as well as before the Louisiana Office of Workers’ Compensation. His defense litigation practice focuses on workers’ compensation, commercial auto, medical malpractice, premises liability, and construction defect. Additionally, Jason has litigated claims involving subrogation, insurance coverage, and environmental law.

Born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, Jason enjoys spending time with his family. His favorite pastimes include cooking, hunting, fishing, tailgating, and watching football.

    Representative Matters: Obtained summary judgment on behalf of a restaurant client in an intentional tort case, after employee was injured in an altercation with another employee. In finding the altercation arose out of a purely personal matter, the Court found the Employer was not vicariously liable for the tortious actions of employee
    dismissed the Employer.
    Achieved a complete defense verdict following a workers' compensation trial in Lafayette against a commercial roofing contractor. The claimant alleged he fell through a roof while working for the Employer. Despite testimony from an eyewitness who claimed he saw the accident, the Court found the claimant ultimately failed to establish an accident occurred in the course
    scope of his employment with the Employer. All claims for medical
    indemnity benefits, penalties,
    attorney fees were denied.
    Successfully obtained a complete defense verdict during bench trial in Iberia Parish, resulting in dismissal of Firm's client. The Court found the Plaintiff failed to demonstrate the engine service performed by the Firm's client was the cause of damage to plaintiff's vehicle.
    Secured a favorable settlement on behalf of the Firm's client in a wrongful death case pending in Federal Court in the Middle District of Louisiana. After defeating plaintiff's attempts to strike Defendant's toxicology expert, the case was resolved at 10% of the Plaintiff's $3,000,000 dem
    at mediation.
