I had 3 attorneys prior to hiring Shawn. I walked into the consultation with her completely defeated because no attorney could help me to protect my son in a very contested custody case. From day one, Shawn has been the PERFECT mix of aggressive yet very strategy-oriented. She's no nonsense with opposing counsel and also very straightforward with her clients. Ruth, her paralegal, is amazing as well! Always there for a good vent session but also makes sure you're always informed!
I recommend to look for another lawyer if you want to control your cost. You will never know how much each iteration on the process will cost you. It was a lot of idle time including $200 per hour for obtaining copies of court approved documents. This work could have been done by an office assistant. Also, you will have to be prepared that this lawyer will minimize his involvement, not maximize your benefit. Never explains the options, you will have to find out on your own.
I do not recommend Shawn Little. Response time is typically 1-2 weeks, insulted me over my assumed political leanings, and was quick to make excuses. Quickest response time observed is when I agreed to let her drop me as a client: motion was filed 15 minutes later.
She was not very responsive and did not fight for my rights. I had to go and get a different lawyer.
Tracey Eberhardt was good at one thing a d that is billing you. More interested in being buddies with the judge and opposing lawyer than fighting for her clients. Would do things without informing us. Don’t waste your money here.
Worst communication ever Just kept billing me and billing me seemed like they wanted to stretch it out to take more of my money Tracy is never available or is on vacation They take for ever to respond never give updates unless you send multiple email or calls and you will get nickel and dimed to death they promis this an that to you never fight for you like an attorney should
Sadly after a family law case, I would not recommend Sybil Sharvelle.
