About Michael B. Menefee

Mr. Menefee focuses his practice in the areas of family law, mediation, criminal defense, business litigation, and collections. Before college, he joined the United States Navy, where he worked as an Operations Specialist on board the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson. During law school, Mr. Menefee worked as a student instructor teaching Advanced Appellate Advocacy and coached a University of Tennessee mock trial team.

Mr. Menefee has appeared on behalf of clients in nearly every county in Tennessee. Mr. Menefee represents individuals and companies at both the trial and appellate levels. His practice ranges from state court cases to the most complex federal matters.

Michael worked very hard during my divorce. During a very difficult time event it was good to know I had such strong, capable representation. I highly recommend his services.

Hired Attorney

Michael did get my case finalized, but when it came to making the various corrections the final order needed, he was very unenthusiastic. He very quickly lacked interest, was not active anymore, and did not communicate to me any updates about my case, thereafter. I requested many times for an update and just to directly speak to Michael, to no avail. I didn't know any that was going on with my case. It was only after I let him go, that he told me about some updates to my case, in which he spoke to the opposing counsel, etc. It shouldn't have taken letting him go, to get an update on my case. Michael conveyed an uninterested attitude, lack of initiative and had no priority whatsoever for my case. Over a year of working my case, and Michael did not get any closer to a resolution. I know that court action takes time, but over a year is absurd. I regret trusting Michael Menefee and do not recommend him as an Attorney.
