John Sholly is a distinguished attorney with roots tracing back to Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He graduated in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service, majoring in International Politics. At Georgetown John met his future wife, Leslie Hunley of Knoxville, Tennessee. Since 1990, John has made Knoxville his home. His professional path began as a Federal Investigator in D.C. before he enrolled at the University of Tennessee College of Law, where he earned his J.D. in 1994. John's career led him first to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in the role of Regulatory Analyst. By 1996, he had established himself as a solo practitioner, also dedicating his time to public service as a Knox County Judicial Commissioner from 1996-1998 and in 2005.
John is a family man at heart, cherishing his time with his wife and their five children: Emily, Jake, Theo, William, and Lorelei. He actively engages with his community, participating in the Knights of Columbus, the Optimist Club, and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
