Held Law Firm is a law firm with an office in Knoxville, TN. At this office location, there are 5 lawyers practicing divorce, child custody & support, adoption and 2 other areas of law.
My wife and I hired the Held law firm for a highly contested child custody case. The Held law firm is staffed with only the best and they will fight for you in court. They cleaned up a mess made by our previous attorney, and got our case moving forward. Margaret has the experience and skills to get you the best results possible. Margaret has a way of taking charge of situations and not letting things just happen. She is a real fighter in the court room.
I have tried several attorney's in the past but Held Law Firm is by far in a class of their own. The entire office works together as a team and the won my case when no one else could.
The attorney treated me with respect and is the best and fairest and most honest attorney I ever met, and I have met at least 20.
I used the Held Law Firm for my legal separation and then divorce several years later. Everyone was professional and respectful. They made a difficult time and easier process. I can recommend them highly.
While legal 'lingo' can be difficult to understand, they did an excellent job at securing my patents, and are mostly responsible for the success of my small business today.

I would not recommend Held Law Firm and attorney Melanie Hogg. While I did find Mrs. Hogg to be knowledgeable, the process of working with her and Held was excruciating and stressful. Rather than providing personal care and attentiveness, I quickly found that Mrs. Hogg and Held Law Firm were interested in collecting as many billable hours as possible. Each email sent to me was, at least, $30. And, Mrs. Hogg sent a number of unnecessary emails that did not advance our prenup what-so-ever. In addition, I was charged $120 for a “quick, in passing” conversation with an attorney who was, in no way, affiliated with our case. I found Mrs. Hogg’s written spelling and grammar to be particularly poor, and again, very costly to me. Upon presenting her first draft of our prenup, she misspelled a multitude of words — including many of which were provided to her and correctly spelled for her including the word “exhibit” which she also misspelled on her second draft.
