I recently ended a relationship with an abusive ex. I had been beaten down for so long that I couldn't see a way out. I represented myself in my original case and got screwed. My ex husband's attorney got him everything he wanted and I just went along for the ride. I voluntarily limited my time with my child not knowing that I did not have to. Camellia came in and freed me from the mess I had made for myself. Camellia stood her ground for me and got me what I wanted and deserved.

My divorce was 6/23, I hold no ill will against Ms Saunders. Nice woman. However, my personal/financial life and my son's emotional life are still in turmoil; (2 years later) this will cost me thousands to begin to correct. I didn't anticipate how draining divorce with a difficult ex would be. Also, none of the mediators suggested by Ms Saunders were assigned to the mediation, which terrified me. I ended up choosing to preserve my mental health over mediation, and cancelled-- and signed an agreement drawn up by my ex and his attorney. I sensed that Ms Saunders was displeased that I chose this path. Her communication diminished immediately after that. She would fwd documents from ex's attorney without reviewing. I felt completely alone, and reached out to other area attorneys to look over the document before I signed, but did not hear back. So, I just signed. I regret not getting a more expensive attorney in hindsight. Pay more @start of divorce. It's worth it in long run.
