Andi Anderson grew up in Knoxville and received her undergraduate degree, magne cum laude, from Middle Tennessee State University. She graduated from The University of Tennessee – College of Law where she received Outstanding Achievement Awards for Income Taxation of Business Organizations and Wealth Transfer Taxation leading her to attend Georgetown University Law Center where she earned her LLM in Taxation and received the CALI Award for Academic Excellence for Retirement Plan Design and Taxation. Andi has more than a decade of experience in estate planning, probate, and trust administration including tax planning for individuals, closely-held businesses, and nonprofit organizations.
Andi is admitted to the state bar in both Tennessee and South Carolina and is licensed to practice in the United States Tax Court. She is a member of the American, Tennessee, and Knoxville Bar Associations as well as the Knoxville Estate Planning Council, and East Tennessee Lawyer’s Association for Women (ETLAW). She has been included in The Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America™ for her work in Tax Law and Trusts and Estates as well as named a Top Attorney by Cityview Magazine several years in a row.
Andi’s civic engagement began early on as a member of Chi Omega women’s fraternity in college. In law school, she served as the President of Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity and received special order from the IRS to practice as a student attorney in the Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberland’s Low Income Taxpayer Clinic. Andi has been elected as President of the Junior League of Knoxville for 2023-2024 after serving on the board of directors in various roles for several years. She has served on the Friends of the Smokies’ Evergreen Ball Steering Committee in various roles including as Co-Chair of the event. Andi previously served as the Treasurer and Community Outreach Director for ETLAW and as an alumni advisor for the UTK chapter of Chi Omega.
Andi is married to Matt, another attorney with the firm. They welcomed their daughter, Anna Margaret, in October 2022, and have a beloved goldendoodle rescue named Otto.
