We contacted Linda Berman after being referred by MetLife Legal Plan and we are so glad we did. She responded quickly to our initial call and kept us up-to-date throughout the duration of our case, going so far as to arrange calls on weekends and in the evening when needed. Our case was complicated and could have put our family in financial turmoil. Her knowledge of the law and its nuances, no nonsense approach, and fierce advocacy allowed for the best possible outcome.
I used Linda Berman for my divorce, which took 4 years, and overall it was a very frustrating experience. Communication was poor—she was often impatient, gave conflicting information, and became defensive when questioned. She repeatedly asked me to gather and resend documents, only to later say they weren’t needed and never submitted them. It felt like I was doing much of the work myself while still being charged increasing retainer fees. Toward the end, she told me my divorce was finalized, but I had received no confirmation. When I followed up with the court myself, I found they were still waiting on her to submit final documents. I’ve had to chase down information that I paid her to handle. I stayed only because I was too far into the process to switch attorneys. Unfortunately, she made an already difficult situation much worse. I would not recommend her.
