We engaged Steve to represent us in a real estate transaction. We discovered some issues with the property during the walk through the night before the closing, and when we told Steve that we would like to place some monies in escrow to cover the defects, he informed us " there isn't an attorney around who will manage an escrow". We closed against my better judgment, and now have to litigate to recover the cost of remedy, which is tens of thousands of dollars. Clearly, our best interest was not served. An aside, he came to the closing in a torn t shirt and shorts, not very professional.
