I hired Mr Laing After a consultation where I explained my situation and legal circumstances pertaining to a motion that had been filed by my ex wife. I needed an attorney with sound legal knowledge and an understanding of court room etiquette to defend my interests. Mr Laing assured me that was him. I was so anxious and nervous at court and when it was time for my attorney to address the court he failed to state any of the facts we had discussed and it was very apparent he didn't have a clue what was going on and had either forgotten everything we talked about or just didn't care. If you need a good attorney with a good understanding of legal procedure and professional court room presence DO NOT CALL ROBERT LAING!
No communication to client. No case updates. Unprepared for case on court date and admitted that to judge. Court documents filed with grammatical and factual errors. Mis-communicated continuances to client. Had no knowledge of financial paperwork that his office requested from client and which he billed for purpose of review. Over bills for reviewing of documents. Charged exorbitant fees for travel time and court appearance. Charged much, much more than original fee quoted.
