Regarding Judge Wonnell, I feel compelled to offer my view only. I am also copying him on this. This is my view only. Please take it as such. We were appointed to appear before him in a case involving reviewing our custody schedule. This was in 2015 , I believe. I am writing this only now so no damage to me or my son can be done. My son is almost 21 and the love. Of my life, in a parental sense. It’s a miracle that he made it through. He attends Vanderbilt University now and I survived, just barely. I am writing to those I’m grateful for and those that nearly destroyed me. Unfortunately, Judge Wonnell falls into the latter category. He immediately labeled us a “ high conflict “ couple , though in reality my ex- husband had just hired a more aggressive and “ hitting below the belt attorney”. Judge Wonnell had no compassion and I nearly gave up and thought about suicide, honestly. He is unfit, in my view. Best interest of the child? Hardly.
He has no idea the consequences his rulings have on abused mothers and their children. His rulings give narcissists more power to continue the cycle of abuse.
