Hired Attorney

Our family went through the nightmare that every adoptive family fears. Attorney Berkowitz went so far above and beyond anything we could have hoped for. Our family is intact and all parties are whole because of her expertise, respect, and compassion for everyone involved in the process. When the courts were unable to discern the intent of the law, which Atty Berkowitz wrote, and, we're quite certain, the judge was going to rule against us in a way that would upset the whole adoption process in the state, Atty Berkowitz, in her wisdom and experience, appealed to the humanity of the other party and crafted an agreement that put an end to our nightmare and protected ours and all adoptive families from the uncertainty of the adoptive process that would have come from this judge's ruling. She is compassionate, above all else. She has made herself available to our family for advice about how to raise and care for an adopted child and the special concerns we have on this journey.
