I have been in bankruptcy with Joel Hargis for over 5 years now. I wanted to file chapter 13 bankruptcy and he talked me into filing chapter 13. He told me: "Chapter 13 is the best thing for you". Unfortunately I trusted him. He did not give me any direction on what I could do and not do. He failed to file something that led to a temporary dismissal and caused all kinds of previous creditors to start trying to collect again. He became angry and arrogant when i told him that I wish I had filed chapter 7 instead. I am in the last few months of the bankruptcy and I received a letter saying that my payments were going to be over $1500 higher in the last few months of the bankruptcy (almost double). When I questioned him about it he became angry and said it was because I had missed so many payments. I went back and checked and I only missed 1 payment since June 2022. My wife and I have been in constant stress of losing our house since the beginning of this thing. Beware of him.
