Jack B. Friedman is the chairman of the Firm’s Trusts and Estates Group, as well as a member of the Firm’s Real Estate Group.
Jack has served clients’ trusts and estates needs for over 40 years. Jack is able to handle a client’s estate planning and administration, will and trust planning, probate filing, power of attorneys and health care directives. He is a knowledgeable resource for all areas of Trust and Estate planning as there is little he cannot achieve for the client.
Jack’s corporate and commercial law experience includes the sale and purchase of commercial and residential real estate, contract and other commercial litigation, and general corporate representation. Jack has represented many large corporations including serving as Secretary and General Counsel to a publicly traded corporation on the American Stock Exchange, General Counsel to large real estate partnerships and corporations, and other multi-million dollar companies for whom he has handled complex real estate, corporate, trusts and estates, and other commercial matters. Jack also serves as an Arbitrator for the District Court of Nassau County.
An active member of the community, Jack served as past member of the Board of Directors and president of the Rockville Centre Soccer Club, past financial coordinator of the Eastern New York State Olympic Development Boys Soccer Program, and served as an elected trustee and president of the Rockville Centre Public Library for 15 years. Jack has also served as the past president of Temple B’nai Sholom of Rockville Centre and the immediate past Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
Jack also volunteers as Co-Chair of the Rockville Centre Community United Jewish Appeal; is on the Board of Directors for the Friends of Long Island Wrestling, a not for profit organization dedicated to promoting amateur wrestling; is Secretary, director and founding member of the Eye Cancer Foundation, Inc., a not for profit organization focused on multi-centered research of new diagnostic treatments for eye cancer research and patient support; is a member of the Board of Trustees for Congregation B’nai Sholom–Beth David; is serving the Theodore Roosevelt Council, Boy Scouts of America in several positions including past Iroquois District Chairman, past Assistant District Commissioner, past Scoutmaster and Cubmaster, and currently as Assistant Scoutmaster, Merit Badge Counselor, and Chairman of the Jewish Committee on Scouting for the Council.
