Steven T. Caya graduated with honors from Hamline University School of Law in 1989 and has since focused his practice exclusively on personal injury law. After spending 11 years as an insurance defense lawyer in Milwaukee, he returned to his hometown of Janesville in 2002, where he now represents clients injured due to others' negligence. His background in representing insurers has proven advantageous in securing favorable outcomes for his clients.
Steven has earned numerous accolades throughout his career, including recognition by the National Trial Lawyers Association as one of the top 100 trial lawyers in Wisconsin. He has been named a Wisconsin Super Lawyer in personal injury every year since 2009 and is listed among the “10 Best Lawyers” for client satisfaction in Wisconsin. Additionally, he is the only attorney in Rock County admitted to the Wisconsin Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
Beyond his legal work, Steven is active in the community, serving as President of Friends of Noah, an animal rescue organization, and President of the Rock River Recovery Network, a nonprofit supporting individuals overcoming substance abuse. He has handled various personal injury claims in both state and federal courts, including car, truck, and motorcycle crashes.
