I engaged Sam to represent me in a child-support matter in which I was already at a serious disadvantage: a default judgment had been entered against me because the other party had claimed I’d paid nothing—despite a prior agreement I was following—and yet the mother went to court anyway and won. At this point I needed someone who could come in guns blazing, fight for my rights, expose her perjury (there were multiple examples in her filings), challenge her back-pay demand, and hold the courts and the opposing side accountable. What I received instead was extremely disappointing. After spending over $6,000 for representation, what Sam did was draft a letter to the court pointing out an “error,” then wait approximately four months for the next court date. At that hearing, what happened? Sam and the judge had essentially a five-minute meeting and agreed to just lower the back-pay amount. That’s it. For all that money: one written submission, long delay, minimal advocacy, and the outcome
Ashley his paralegal is awesome but do not fall for it. She cannot do anything, Sam has the final say. Retainer 5,500 right off the bat. If you are living in a hostile home environment, he's definitely not the attorney for you. He lacks compassion and empathy, but if you call him he will bill you egregiously. Mr. Jubran filed my case on March 9, 2023 bill, bill just smoke and mirrors what I mean by that is paper with no dates in sight. Fast forward June 8, my husband attacks me. I advised Ashley and my mother has terminal cancer. He billed me for talking to him about that. July 7, 2023, I made the decision to fire him and that day was the fastest service, I had ever received filed to withdraw. Would you imagine I get a date but it's for him to withdraw. Moral of the story do not go with this guy! I am still not divorced and still living with my husband. He will bill you for every single thing! Even when you get a DCF case when he should of done his job. $9,000 plus!
