Mr. Fix is chair of Rogers Towers' Labor and Employment Department. His practice includes all areas of labor and employment law. Mr. Fix also has substantial experience representing clients in contract and business disputes, with a special emphasis on claims involving unfair competition, restrictive covenants, trade secrets, and non-competes. He has served as lead trial counsel in state and federal courts throughout Florida and across the country. He has also represented clients in arbitration proceedings as well as state and federal administrative hearings.
In addition to his labor and employment law experience, Mr. Fix has served as trial counsel in commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts, including for example, suits for breach of contract, interference with business relationships, breach of fiduciary duty, defamation, deceptive and unfair consumer practices, federal civil rights violations, invasion or privacy, and fraud.
In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Fix routinely advises clients on labor and employment issues, including discipline and discharge, employment policies and procedures, investigations of employee misconduct, privacy issues, wages and hours, maintenance of business records, union activities, and protecting confidential business information. He also drafts and reviews employment agreements, non-compete agreements, severance agreements, independent contractor agreements and other business contracts.
