Mr. Barbour handles a wide variety of civil litigation cases including medical malpractice, professional liability, products liability, general tort liability, and commercial litigation. Mr. Barbour is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by The Florida Bar. He received a B.B.A. from Stetson University and his J.D. from Stetson College of Law. Mr. Barbour is admitted to practice in the U.S. Supreme Court; U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit; U.S. District Court, Southern and Middle Districts of Florida and All Florida Courts. He is also a member of the Defense Research Institute (DRI), the American Board of Trial Advocates (President – Jacksonville Chapter 2005), the Florida Defense Lawyers Association, the Jacksonville Defense Lawyers Association and is an Emeritus member of the Chester Bedell Inn of Court. He was a member of the Executive Council of the Trial Lawyers Section of The Florida Bar from 2002-2008. He has served on the Board of the Jacksonville Bar Association from 1992 to 1997 (President 1997) and the Board of the Young Lawyers Section 1987 to 1991 (President 1990-91).
Mr. Barbour is an active member and has served on the Board of the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC), an invitation-only association of 2,500 defense attorneys and corporate counsel committed to excellence in the representation of corporate and insurance clients. He served on the Medical Defense Chair (2003-2005), Products Liability, Drug and Medical Device and Civil Rights and Governmental Law Committees. He was on the faculty (1997) and the Director (2011) of the Trial Academy at Stanford University.

Mr. Barbour is a native of Jacksonville and has practiced law with Marks Gray since 1982. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra Beach (Board 1992-1998, President 1997-1998). He is a charter member of The Bolles School Alumni Board and is a member of Leadership Jacksonville; Jacksonville Community Council, Inc.; and Palms Presbyterian Church (Elder).
