About Giselle Carson

Giselle Carson is a recognized business immigration and compliance attorney. She helps employers hire and retain global talent and develop effective immigration strategies to remain competitive and compliant in a global economy.

She has been practicing law for over 15 years and for the last ten years she has dedicated her practice to business immigration. She has helped businesses and individuals obtain work visas, permanent residence status (“green card”) and naturalization. She also guides organizations on immigration compliance including Form I-9 and government audits.

As a two-time immigrant, Ms. Carson has experienced the challenges and joy of immigration. She was born in Cuba, escaped to Canada and later immigrated to the U.S. She benefited from the advice and guidance of experienced immigration attorneys to achieve her dreams. Now, she helps others achieve their immigration dreams and goals.

She is a published author and renowned speaker on immigration matters. In 2017, she published her book Beyond the H-1B: A Guide to Work Visa Options for Employers, Foreign Nationals, and Graduating Students. In 2010, she authored a chapter in the book, Counseling Clients on Worksite Enforcement (Inside the Minds).

Some of her distinguished awards include Lawyer of the Year (2013) by the Jacksonville Daily Record and Financial News, Woman of Influence (2009) and inclusion on the Florida Super Lawyers® list. She is AV® peer review rated, the highest rating possible by her peers through Martindale-Hubbell™. The American Lawyer & Corporate Counsel and Martindale-Hubbell™ named her Top-Rated Immigration Lawyer.

Actively engaged in the community, she is a member of Leadership Florida, Class of XXXII (2013) and Leadership Jacksonville Class of 2005. She serves on the JaxSport Council Board, Generation W advisory council and as Chairwoman of the Jacksonville Aviation Authority where she was previously appointed Vice-Chairwoman and Treasurer.

She is a past President of the Jacksonville Bar Association and served as General Counsel of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce (2010-2012). She was President of the First Coast Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (2008 and 2009).

She is passionate about health and fitness. She is a five-time Ironman finisher and a 16-time marathon finisher. She is a member of the Seven Continent Marathon Club and completed all six world major marathons (Boston, Chicago, New York, London, Berlin, and Tokyo).

In business and in life, she has crossed many finish lines and she dedicated to helping her clients cross their finish lines and achieve their goals.

She is married to Jeff, a physical therapist, marathoner, and triathlete. She is fluent in Spanish, French, and English.
