D’errica Jackson is an associate in the Jacksonville office, where she defends clients in construction, general liability, health care, medical malpractice and premises liability matters.
She previously served as a summer associate at Hall Booth Smith, gaining hands-on experience in medical malpractice, premises liability, and elder abuse cases, and drafting motions, deposition summaries, and dispositive pleadings. D’errica also worked as a legal intern at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida in Jacksonville, where she assisted on federal matters and strengthened her litigation skills.
Her background further includes a judicial internship with the Honorable Frederic M. Schott of the 18th Judicial Circuit of Florida, where she observed hearings and trials and conducted research in criminal law and procedure. In the private sector, she gained corporate legal experience as a legal intern with Darden Restaurants, Inc., supporting the litigation and real estate divisions, reviewing contracts, and assisting with compliance projects. She also contributed to non-profit legal initiatives as a Racial Justice Research Assistant fellow at the University of Florida, helping advance voting rights restoration efforts in North Florida.
D’errica earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where she was president of the John Marshall Bar Association, assistant research editor for the Florida Journal of International Law, and vice president of administration for the Alternative Dispute Resolution Team. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida.
