Leave a review about your experience with this lawyer.I regret that I hired Philip Hearn to handle a simple misdemeanor case. I paid him $4,000 before he would even talk to me. There was no “Free Consultation”, except with a paralegal. To this day, I have never met Philip Hearn. He lied and said his daughter was having surgery on my court date, and then posted photos on Facebook of his whole family at a Memphis Grizzlies basketball game that day. He sent a young associate, Cass Cole, to court with me. He lost the case. Cole strongly advised me to take what was, in my opinion, a detrimental deal. I had to pay a $700 for an incident that was NOT ILLEGAL. In my honest opinion, I could have handled it better by myself. I strongly do NOT recommend Hearn or his associates. I have all documentation. He threatened to sue me if I did not remove a negative review, and later went on a public website and revealed every detail of my case, including my full name and address. Violation of Atty Rules of Prof. Conduct (1.6). Check Yelp and "X".
By Anonymous on Oct. 09, 2024 1.0 out of 5 stars In my opinion, Philip Hearn should be disbarred if he treats everyone the way he treated me. I paid $4,000 for him to represent me in a simple misdemeanor case. To this day, I have never met him. He postponed my case several times and then said his daughter was having surgery and he could not go to court with me, so he sent a junior attorney who lost my simple case. I found out later that Hearn’s daughter was not in surgery that day. He and his entire family were attending a professional basketball game in Memphis. I wrote a negative(but completely factual) review about him and he threatened to sue me if it was not removed in 48 hours. Following another honest review of him on another site, he responded by violating Attorney Professional Code 1.6–Confidentiality —by writing my full name, place of residence and every single detail of my case. I feel as if I might as well have flushed $5,000 (including court costs, etc.) down the toilet.
