His practice largely focuses on commercial litigation, dealing with issues such as tortious interference, fraud, breach of contract, and breach of fiduciary duty. Brian is also well-versed in intellectual property litigation and counseling, handling cases related to patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets. In addition to these areas, he has been involved in litigation concerning catastrophic injuries, product liability, medical malpractice, and disputes over Permian Basin mineral rights. Brian began his legal journey at Baker & Botts, where he participated in high-profile cases like Pennzoil Co. v. Texaco, Inc., which resulted in a $10.53 billion jury verdict. He also contributed to trial teams for Houston Lighting & Power during its billion-dollar lawsuits related to the South Texas Nuclear Project. In recent years, Brian has tackled commercial and IP matters involving complex technologies, including oilfield services, medical devices, consumer electronics, and telemedicine systems, among others.
