Ben Lewis has extensive experience representing domestic and international insurers in complex coverage disputes encompassing both property damage and time element losses. His primary focus is on all-risk property and builder’s risk claims in the construction and downstream energy industries. Ben has also represented insurers in matters involving hurricane, homeowners, and cryptocurrency losses. He works closely with claims handlers, loss adjusters, and technical experts throughout each matter to final resolution, whether through early negotiation, mediation, litigation, or appeal. Ben has also successfully represented insurers in large-loss subrogation matters.
Before joining CWP, Ben developed the strategic advocacy and analytical skills that serve his insurance coverage practice through diverse leadership roles. In Washington, D.C., he managed government relations and a political action committee for an agricultural trade association, navigating complex regulatory and policy issues. At the University of Mississippi School of Law, Ben distinguished himself through leadership as President of the American Constitution Society, a Moot Court Board member, and a member of the Dean’s Leadership Council. He furthered his legal education with studies in international law at Downing College, Cambridge University. Ben has been named a “Rising Star” by both SuperLawyers and the Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association.
