  Representative Matters: Represented a gas station owner who was sued by an electrician who sustained injuries when he fell from a damaged electric light pole. After a seven-day trial, the case settled before it went to the jury when the excess insurance carrier agreed to contribute to the settlement amount the offered to the plaintiff.
  Convinced a jury to award the plaintiff less than 15% of the $14.5 million of damages initially sought. We successfully demonstrated the difficulty in anticipating that the ten iron spikes used to ground the client's inflatable would not hold when an unexpectedly powerful wind gust sent the inflatable flying
  struck the plaintiff, causing brain damage.
  Negotiated that our client, a janitorial company that serviced the mall where the plaintiff slipped
  fell outside the mall's movie theater, pay just less than 2% of a proposed $600,000 settlement through a challenging mediation process.
