Jinsoo is a specialist in tax law certified by the State Bar of California. His practice focuses on complex income and sales tax matters, including discharging taxes in bankruptcy, disputing audits, and international tax compliance. He helps businesses and individuals on issues involving the Internal Revenue Service, Franchise Tax Board, Employment Development Department, California Department of Tax and Fee Administration, and Office of Tax Appeals.
Prior to joining Taylor Nelson Amitrano LLP, Jinsoo litigated complex tax and finance cases at the trial and appellate levels at a leading municipal law firm. He also served as Tax Counsel at the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration and Associate General Counsel at an international nonprofit. He was an extern at the IRS Office of Chief Counsel and the chambers of Judge Scott Clarkson of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court and Associate Justice Richard Aronson of the California Court of Appeal.
He remains active in the tax practitioner community and continues to contribute to scholarship, especially regarding tax litigation and technology. He was a staff editor for volume 1 of the UC Irvine Law Review and served as an executive board member for volumes 2 and 3.
