Alexander “Zan” Schindler is an attorney with the Orange County, California law firm Brown & Streza LLP. His practice focuses on providing corporate and tax counsel to both for-profit and nonprofit organizations. With a particular emphasis on nonprofit organizations, Zan advises clients through the unique tax, corporate, and legal issues they face. He also works closely with the firm’s estate planning attorneys and client advisors involving business succession and charitable planning transactions to implement structures that accomplish both business and philanthropic goals.
Prior to joining Brown & Streza LLP, Zan worked extensively in tax controversy and litigation, successfully representing both individuals and businesses in the United States Tax Court and administratively before various taxing agencies such as the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and Franchise Tax Board (FTB).
Zan earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon and his Juris Doctor from Chapman University's Fowler School of Law. Zan is admitted to practice law in California as a member of the California State Bar.
