About Nabeela Virjee

Nabeela Virjee is a litigation attorney who represents individuals in personal injury matters, bringing a thoughtful and client-centered approach shaped by both her professional experience and her own life.

Nabeela began her legal career on the defense side, handling a wide range of civil litigation matters including personal injury, professional liability, employment disputes, and complex torts. She managed a high-volume caseload and developed deep experience in motion practice, discovery, mediation, and trial preparation, including participation in federal jury trial. She later served as a litigation attorney with the City of Indianapolis Office of Corporation Counsel, where she defended the City and its agencies in high-stakes civil rights and constitutional litigation, including arguing a 1st Amendment issue on appeal before the Seventh Circuit.

Today, Nabeela uses that experience to advocate for individuals who have been injured or wronged. Having spent years defending institutions, she understands how cases are evaluated on the other side—and brings that insight to each stage of her clients’ cases, from initial evaluation through resolution.

Her work is also informed by personal experience. After being seriously injured in a pedestrian accident, Nabeela gained firsthand insight into the physical, emotional, and financial challenges that follow an unexpected injury. That perspective shapes how she approaches her clients’ cases—with a focus not only on legal strategy, but on listening, responsiveness, and guiding clients through what is often one of the most difficult periods of their lives.

In addition to her legal practice, Nabeela has held leadership roles in both the public and private sectors, including serving as Deputy Trustee for Pike Township, where she helped oversee public resources and assist individuals and families in need. She has also taught as a Criminal Procedure adjunct faculty member at the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.

Nabeela is active in the Indianapolis legal community and has been recognized for her professional accomplishments, including being named an “Up and Coming Lawyer” by The Indiana Lawyer. She remains committed to advocating for her clients with skill, perspective, and a strong sense of purpose.

Nabeela and her husband, Brian Willsey, live, work, and play in downtown Indianapolis with their two young boys, Zayn and Zulfi. They enjoy gardening, trips to the beach, and grilling with friends.
