Matthew Springer spent considerable time on my case on intake and has a flat rate fee structure that is initially appealing. However, his communication and responsiveness was lacking. For example, he frequently failed to inform me when he was unavailable either due to being out of town, illness or family emergency. He didn’t update me on my case such that I had to call the office or email him to stay informed. He advised me to put off updating a motion to modify parenting time on my case, then became argumentative and blaming when any circumstances for my case or my child changed. He advised me to discuss my case with another attorney I was using for other purposes, then stated this undermined our relationship. Finally, he advised me to get letters from ALL of my child’s health care providers shortly before final hearing, then accused me of being demanding when I communicated that my child’s specialist asked to speak to him directly. In short, this man doesn’t seem to want to work.
