Mary Feldhake is a partner at Bose McKinney & Evans LLP, who concentrates her practice primarily in medical malpractice defense and healthcare litigation. In her 30 plus years of practice, Mary has represented multiple organizations and individuals in the healthcare field throughout Indiana - hospitals, physicians and resident physicians. From her experience, Mary knows that every case is different and requires a unique combination of legal and interpersonal skills. She utilizes a detailed and thoughtful approach to each case, from reviewing the large volume of complex information to identifying key facts and witnesses. Whether a matter is resolved inside or outside a courtroom, Mary strongly advocates for the best interests of her clients.
Mary is an experienced trial attorney. She has been lead counsel in many medical malpractice cases, even winning a directed verdict in one. Mary also has been involved in a significant number of medical malpractice appellate cases. For example, Mary served as lead attorney in a significant default judgement win in the Indiana Supreme Court that is now used as a landmark case, not only in medical malpractice cases, but in all areas involving default judgments.
Mary's accomplishments include several prestigious awards. She was named Best Lawyers 2020 Indianapolis Medical Malpractice Law - Defendants Lawyer of the Year. In addition, she has been named in The Best Lawyers in America , Indiana Super Lawyers and Indiana Super Lawyers Top 25 Women Lawyers, all multiple times. Mary also has been recognized by Martindale-Hubbell for her work as a litigator.
Mary served as president of the Indiana Society for Healthcare Risk Managers and was presented the 2006 Glenn Troyer Award. She is also a member of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Managers, a professional membership group of the American Hospital Association that focuses on supporting its members through professional and educational opportunities in addition to promoting safety in healthcare.
Prior to practicing law, Mary served as a health care provider.
