About Brad M. Dick

Bradley Dick is a partner in the Litigation, Government Services, and Utilities groups, assisting governmental entities, utilities, businesses, and individuals in administrative appeals, litigation, and appeals.

Brad has argued cases before the Indiana Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, the Indiana Court of Appeals, United States District Courts, and trial courts across the State and country. Brad also has extensive experience representing parties in administrative hearings and appeals from Boards of Zoning Appeals and Plan Commissions.

Brad also represents government entities and utilities, serving as municipal counsel for cities and towns, responding to public records requests and related litigation, drafting ordinances and resolutions, and representing utilities in a wide range of matters.

Before joining the firm, Brad served as a judicial law clerk for Chief Justice Rush of the Indiana Supreme Court. He graduated from the University of Michigan Law School Magna Cum Laude.

From 2021 to 2025, Best Lawyers recognized Brad as one of the “Ones to Watch” for outstanding performance in private practice.

    Xirum v. U.S. Immigration
    Customs Enforcement, 1:22-cv-00801-TWP-KMB (S.D. Ind. Dec. 13, 2024). Represented Clay County in challenge to jail conditions, district court abstained from hearing state-law claims against Clay County,
    dismissed them without prejudice.
    Connie Ehrilich v. Bottlebrush Solar Energy LLC, 66D01-2306-PL-00009 (Pulaski Sup. Ct. June 7, 2024). Successfully defended approval of a tax abatement for a utility.
    Phillips v. Consolidated City of Indianapolis, 49D04-2202-PL-005209 (Marion Cnty. Sup. Ct. 2023). Obtained summary judgment on behalf of Washington Township Schools in suit alleging trespass, nuisance,
    inverse condemnation.
    S.E. (by Next Friend Glaser) v. City of Carmel, 198 N.E.3d 1209 (Ind. Ct. App. 2022). Represented City of Carmel in appeal where Court of Appeals affirmed summary judgment in favor of Carmel that Carmel was immune from liability.
    Amberly Pointe Manufactured Home Community v. Stucker Fork Conservancy Dist., 195 N.E.2d 859 (Ind. Ct. App. 2022). Represented utility defending appeal by manufactured home community appealing dismissal of appeal by the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission, with Court of Appeals affirming dismissal.
    Edwards (by Next Friend Glaser) v. City of Carmel, 191 N.E.3d 900 (Ind. Ct. App. 2022). Successfully defended City of Carmel in appeal of attorneys' fee award.
    Geist Lake Forest Property Owners' Association, Inc. v. Taso's Toy's LLC, 190 N.E.3d 372 (Ind. Ct. App. 2022). Represented homeowner's association in challenge to structure that did not comply with covenants
    restrictions. Ultimately obtained order to demolish the structure
    for attorneys' fees.
    Ley v. Common Council of City of Auburn, 17D02-2202-PL-00002 (DeKalb Sup. Ct. 2022). Represented Mayor of Auburn in challenge regarding nomination of department heads
    obtaining permanent injunction.
    State v. Koorsen, 181 N.E.2d 327 (Ind. Ct. App. 2021). Represented homeowners in inverse condemnation action against the State of Indiana.
    Burkhart Advertising, Inc. v. Howard Cnty. Board of Zoning Appeals, 176 N.E.3d 594 (Table) (Ind. Ct. App. 2021). Represented Board of Zoning Appeals in appeal by billboard owner appealing dismissal of petition for judicial review.
    Tax Analysts v. Indiana Economic Development Corp., 162 N.E.3d 1111 (Ind. Ct. App. 2020). Represented the Indiana Economic Development Corporation in appeal by reporter challenging denial of public records request.
