I’m am the petitioner of my husband , but currently on Medicaid for my pregnancy. Will this affect me or him in sponsoring him ?

Answered by attorney Stephen Arnold Black
Immigration lawyer at The Law Office of Stephen A. Black
Are you a US citizen? Did your husband enter the country legally? The fact that you're on Medicaid should not be a problem but you may need a joint financial sponsor to meet the minimum income requirements. Discuss your situation with counsel.

Can I apply for the green card for my wife and me?

It talks about 15 years from sister to a sister. Your sister in law cannot petition for you. When you have an immigrant visa petition pending, you are risking losing your B1/B2 visa because of the intent issue.

What do I do if I was ordered to be deported about 8 months ago?

Your question requires an attorney consultation. It is not a simple question that can be answered on this type of forum. There are many factors that would need to be considered and evaluated. The short answer to whether or not you will qualify under Obama's Executive Order is "possibly". I strongly suggest that you contact an experienced immigration attorney for a face-to-face consultation and give him/her all of the facts surrounding your situation. (S)he would then be in a better position to analyze your case and advise you of your options.
