Why would there be consular processing on H1B?

Answered by attorney Michael Alexander Yurasov-Lichtenberg (Unclaimed Profile)
Immigration lawyer at Havens Lichtenberg PLLC
There should not be a consular processing - unless the papers were not done right. Ask your attorney how this happened and what can be done now to remedy this situation. If you did not have an attorney - well, now you know why you should have, and can retain one tomorrow.

Can I be locked up if I have an f1 visa and stopped going to school?

Answered by attorney Jennifer Maude Oltarsh
Immigration lawyer at Oltarsh & Associates, P.C.
If you are eligible to adjust you should not be locked up if you file the paperwork before they find out. I would suggest filing as soon as possible.

I have a Student status, i want to know if I can get a Visa to travel outside the U.S.?

Answered by attorney David Troy Cox
Immigration lawyer at CoxEsq, PC
Your student visa (F-1) should be good for multiple entries, allowing you to travel outside the US while in student status.  You'll have to show the visa and a current I-20 at the border when you return.
