What is the green card processing time for a Pakistan born Canadian citizen?

Answered by attorney Lynne Rogers Feldman
Immigration lawyer at Feldman Feldman Associates, PC
Since you are being petitioned by your US citizen brother you are in the FB-4 category. They are currently working on cases filed in January of 2002 so it can be a long wait. Heres a link to our website. Just click on current visa bulletin on the bottom left and it will take you to the list of priority dates for this month. Your brother could also petition for you as an employee which has a much shorter wait time. Feel free to call to schedule a consultation to go over your options.

My mother is here for a visit, can I apply for my mom's permanent resident status and how long would it take for her to become a resident?

Answered by attorney Bruce A. Coane (Unclaimed Profile)

Yes, if you're a USA citizen and she's otherwise eligible. It takes 2-12 months depending on what city you live in, and varying processing times.

Can my mom help me fix my residency?

Answered by attorney Harun Kazmi

Hello. I would need to know more about your situation. How and when did you last enter the U.S.? Have you ever filed for any immigration benefits before? What is your mother's status?
